Psalm 128

Gàidhlig

Salm 128

'S beannaicht' gach aon neach air a bheil
eagal Iehòbhah mhòir;
Is ann an slighean fìorghlan Dhè
stiùras a cheum air chòir.

Oir toradh gnìomh don làmhan fhèin,
ithidh tu e gu h-ait;
Beannaichear thu gu mòr mar sin,
's bidh sonas ort gu pailt.

Mar fhìonain thairbhich bidh do bhean
'n taobh staigh ded fhàrdaich fhèin;
Do chlann mar òg chroinn-olaidh ùir
timcheall do bhùird gu lèir.

Feuch, 's amhlaidh sin a bheannaichear
an neach don eagal Dia.
A Sion gheibh thu beannachadh,
is sonas pailt on Triath;

Is chì thu math Ierusaleim
rè fad do làith' gu lèir.
Seadh, clann do chloinne chì thu fòs,
is sìth air Israèl.

Psalm 128

Song of ascents.

Blessed are all who fear Yahweh,
       who walk in his ways.
You will eat the fruits of your work;
       you will be happy and prosperous.
Your wife will be like a fruitful vine
       within your house.
Your children round your table
       will be like olive shoots.
Those are the kind of blessings
       that fall on those who fear Yahweh.
May Yahweh bless you from Zion
       all the days you live;
may you see Jerusalem prosper,
       and live to see your children's children.
Peace be on Israel!
