Salm 76
An Iùdah aithnichear ar Dia; 's mòr 'ainm an Israel naomh. An Salem tha a phàillean fòs, a thàmh an Sion caomh. Saighdean a' bhogha bhris e 'n sin, an sgiath 's an claidheamh geur. An còmhrag is an cath faraon, bhriseadh iad leis gu treun. Is mò do mhòralachd, a Dhè, is mò gu mòr do ghlòir Na beanntan thog an cinn gu h-àrd, le cobhartach ro-mhòr. Làn-chreachadh luchd a' chridhe chailm, is chaidil iad le suain; Na fir a bha nan curaidh mhòr', an làmhan fòs cha d'fhuair. O thus' as Dia do Iàcob ann, led achmhasan 's led neart, An carbad-cogaidh is an t-each nan suain do chuireadh leat. 'S cùis eagail thu, thu fhèin, a Dhè; cia neach a chogas riut, Na ann ad shealladh sheasas suas an uair bhios corraich ort? Thug thusa air do bhreitheanas o nèamh gun cualas e; Bha air an talamh eagal mòr 's na thàmh ghrad dh'fhuirich e; Tràth dh'èirich Dia chum breitheanais, a theasairginn san àm Gach uile dhuine ciùin is sèimh, air talamh a bha ann. Bheir fearg is corraich dhaoin' an sin àrd-mholadh dhut gu beachd; Is fuidheall fòs na feirge mòir', làn choisgidh tu led neart. Geallaibh ur bòid gu togarrach dur Dia Iehòbhah àrd; Is coileanaibh gu fìrinneach na gheallar leibhse dha; Gach neach a tha ma thimcheall-san thugadh iad dha na àm Deagh-thabhartais is tìodhlacan, don tì 's cùis eagail ann. Is e nì spiorad phrionnsan mòr' a sgathadh sìos le neart; Do rìghrean fòs a' chruinne-chè 's cùis eagail e gu beachd.

Psalm 76
For the choirmaster. For strings. Psalm. Of Asaph. Song.
God is known in Judah, his name is great in Israel; his tent is in Salem, his home is in Zion. There he broke the flashing arrows, shields and swords, and weapons of war. You are radiant with light, more regal than the eternal hills. The brave lie plundered, in lasting sleep; not one of the soldiers can lift his hands. O God of Jacob, at your rebuke, both horse and chariot lie still. You alone strike terror. Who can withstand you in your anger? You pronounced your judgement from heaven; the earth was afraid and was quiet, when you, O God, gave your judgement to save all the poor of the land. Human wrath can only respect you; you arm yourself with total wrath. Make vows to Yahweh your God and keep them, let all the lands around bring gifts to the One who is feared. He curbs the spirit of princes; he fills the kings of the earth with fear.
