Psalm 70

Gàidhlig

Salm 70

Iehòbhah Dhia, gum theasairginn
  's gum chòmhnadh, deifrich ort.
Biodh nàir' is amhluadh air an dream
  tha 'g iarraidh m'anam' bhochd;

Tillear an dream ud air an ais,
  lem miann mo lochd a-ghnàth,
Mòr amhluadh gu robh orra siud,
  is rudhadh gruaidh gach là.

Gun tillear iadsan air an ais,
  mar thuarasdal dan nàir',
An dream a their gu fanaideach,
  Ahà, ahà, le tàir.

Aoibhneas is aighear, do gach neach
  gad iarraidh fhèin a tha;
Is abradh iad len toigh do shlàint',
  Dia guma mòr, a-ghnàth.

Ach mise tha gu h-ainnis bochd,
  am ionnsaigh greas, a Dhia;
Mo chobhair thu, 's mo shlànaighear;
  moille na dèan, mo Thriath.

Psalm 70

For the choirmaster. Of David. In commemoration.

Be pleased, O God, to save me;
       O Yahweh, come quickly and help me.
Put to shame and confusion
       all who seek my life;
repulse them in disgrace
       who try to do me hurt.
Let those who shout "Aha!" at me
       be aghast with shame.
But let all who seek you
       rejoice and be glad in you;
let them cry out eternally,
       they who love your salvation,
       "May God be exalted!"
But I am poor and in need;
       come quickly to me, O God.
You are my helper, my saviour,
       O Yahweh, do not delay.
