Salm 13
Cia fhad a dhearmadar mi leat, a Dhia, an ann gu bràth? Cia fhad a cheileas tu do ghnùis om anam truagh gach tràth? Cia fhad bhios imcheist ann am chom, le cridhe trom gach là? Cia fhad a chuirear tharam suas an tì bha dhomh na nàmh? Tabhair fa-near, is freagair mi, a Thighearna mo Dhia; Soillsich mo shùilean, cadal trom chum bàis nach caidil mi. Eagal gun abair rium mo nàmh, Chaidh agam air a-nis; 'S gun dean mo naimhdean gàirdeachas, an uair a dh'aomar mis'. Ach dh'earb mi à do ghràs; is bidh mo spiorad ait ad shlàint: Is seinnidh mi gu binn do Dhia airson a phailteis ghnàthaicht'.

Psalm 13
For the choirmaster. Psalm. Of David.
How long, O Yahweh, will you forget me? Forever? How long will you turn your face from me? How long must I nurse rebellious thoughts, and sorrow of heart throughout the day? How long is the foe to dominate me? O Yahweh my God, look down and answer me, give light to my eyes, or death is my sleep. My foe will say, "I have overthrown him," and my enemies rejoice at my fall. But I put trust in your faithful love, my heart will rejoice in your saving help. I will sing to Yahweh for he has granted all I desire.
