Psalm 96

Gàidhlig

Salm 96

Canaibh don Tighearn òran nuadh,
  gach aon tìr, canaibh dha.
Seinnibh do Dhia; 'ainm beannaichibh,
  nochdaibh a shlàint' gach là.

Am measg nam fineachan gu lèir
  sìor thaisbeinibh a ghlòir;
Am measg gach pobaill aithrisibh
  a mhìorbhailean ro-mhòr.

Oir 's mòr Iehobhah Dia nam feart,
  's ionmholta feadh gach rè;
Is adhbhar eagail e faraon
  os cionn nan uile dhè;

Oir uile dhè nam fineachean
  is iodhail iad gu lèir;
Ach 's e Iehòbhah Cruithear àrd
  nam flaitheas is nan speur.

Ard-urram agus mòralachd
  na fhianais-san a ta;
Treun-spionnadh agus maisealachd
  na theampall naomh a-ghnàth.

O fhineachan nan slògh gu lèir,
  thugaibh do Dhia nam feart,
Thugaibh don Tighearna faraon
  glòir, urram, agus neart.

A' ghlòir as cubhaidh fòs da ainm,
  don Tighearn thugaibh uaibh;
Thigibh da chùirtean naomha steach,
  is thugaibh ofrail leibh.

Do Dhia Iehòbhah sleuchdaibh sìos
  am mais' a naomhachd fhèin;
Biodh eagal oirbh, gach uile thìr,
  na fhianais-san gu lèir.

Abraibh measg fhineach gu bheil Dia
  riaghladh mar rìgh gu beachd.
Buan-dhaingnichear an domhan leis;
  air daoine bheir breith cheart.

Biodh aoibhneas air na nèamhan àrd',
  is biodh an talamh ait;
Beucadh an cuan gu faramach,
  's a lànachd-san gu pailt.

Biodh aoibhneas air a' mhachair fòs,
  is air gach nì a th'ann;
An sin bidh aiteas air gach coill',
  is air gach craoibh is crann,

An làthair Dhè; oir tha e teachd,
  oir tha e teachd gu breith;
Air talamh chum gun dèante leis
  ceart-bhreitheanas fa leth;

Le ceartas math bheir e a-mach
  breith air a' chruinne-chè;
Bheir air a' phoball breitheanas
  le fìrinn fhìorghlain rèidh.

Psalm 96

Sing a new song to Yahweh!
       Sing to Yahweh, all the earth!
Sing to Yahweh; bless his name!
       Declare his victory day after day,
proclaim his glory among the nations,
       his wonders to all the peoples!
Yahweh is great, and worth great praise,
       more awesome than all the gods.
The gods of the nations are only idols;
       it was Yahweh who made the heavens.
Splendour and might are all around him;
       power and beauty are in his sanctuary.
Ascribe to Yahweh, you families of nations,
       ascribe to Yahweh the glory and power,
ascribe to Yahweh his name's due glory,
       bring a gift and enter his courts;
worship Yahweh in the splendour of holiness,
       tremble before him, all the earth!
Declare among the nations, "Yahweh is King!"
       The world is set firm and will never be moved;
       and he will judge the nations justly.
May the heavens rejoice and earth be glad!
       May the seas roar and everything in them!
May the fields exult and all that is in them!
       May the trees of the forest all shout for joy
and sing before Yahweh when he comes!
When he comes to judge the world
       he will judge the world in righteousness
       and the peoples by his truth.
