Salm 14
Na chridhe deir an t-amadan, Chan eil ann Dia air bith: Tàid truaillidh, 's oillteil, fòs an gnìomh; chan eil ann neach nì math. An Tighearn dh'amhairc e o nèamh, air cloinn nan daoine nuas; A dh'fheuchainn an robh tuigs' aig neach na dh'iarradh Dia nan gràs. Ach chlaon an t-iomlan dhiubh a thaobh, ro-shalach tàid gu lèir; Chan eil aon neach a' dèanamh maith, chan eil fiù aon fon speur. A bheil aig droch-dhaoin' tuigs' air bith tha 'g ithe suas gu dian Mo phobaill-sa, mar aran blasd', 's nach eil a' gairm air Dia? An sin do ghabh iad eagal mòr, airson gu bheil gu fior Dia ann an ginealach is linn nam fìreanach do shìor. Comhairl' an truaghain nàraich sibh, chionn Dia na thèarmann dha: A Sion, O gun tigeadh mach slàint' Israeil gach là! An uair bheir Dia air ais o bhruid a phoball fhèin le chèil', Air Iàcob bithidh aoibhneas mòr, 's aiteas air Israèl.

Psalm 14
For the choirmaster. Of David.
The fool has said in his heart, "There is no God!" They are depraved and their deeds are vile; not one of them does any good. Yahweh looks down from heaven on all the human race to see if any are wise, if any seek after God. All have turned away, they have all become corrupt, not one of them does right, not even one. Will the wicked never learn? They devour my people like bread, and never call to Yahweh. They will be gripped in terror, for God is with the just. You may mock the plans of the poor but Yahweh is their refuge. O that Israel's salvation would come from Zion! When Yahweh restores the people's fortunes, let Jacob rejoice and Israel be glad.
