Salm 137
Aig sruthan coimheach Bhàbiloin shuidh sinn gu brònach bochd; An sin air Sion chuimhnich sinn, is ghuileadh leinn gu goirt. Air gheugan seilich chrochadh leinn ar clàrsaichean an sin. Oir iadsan a rinn braighdean dhinn dh'iarr òran oirnn is gean; Seadh iadsan len do chreachadh sinn dh'iarr luathghair oirnn is ceòl; Seinnibh de laoidhean Shioin dhuinn, (ars' iadsan) mar bu nòs. 'N tìr choigrich ciamar dh'fhaodar leinn oran Iehòbhah sheinn? Mur cuimhnicheam thu, Ierusaleim, rim dheis nìor lean a seirm. Mo theanga leanadh teann rim ghial, mur cuimhnichear thu leam; Mur feàrr leam na m'uil' aoibhneas àrd cathair Ierusaleim. Clann Edoim cuimhnich thusa, Dhè, oir thubhairt iad le tàir, An làithean truagh' Ierusaleim, leag, leag i, sìos gu làr. O nighean uaibhreach Bhàbiloin, a dh'fhàsaichear gu lèir; Is sona dha, mar rinn thu oirnn a dhìolas dhut da rèir. Is sona dhàsan ghlacas fòs do mhaoth-chlann bheag is thruagh, 'S a phronnas iad gun acarachd ri clachan daingeann cruaidh'.

Psalm 137
By the rivers of Babylon we sat and wept when we remembered Zion. There on the willows we hung our harps, for our captors asked us to sing them songs, our captors demanded songs of joy: "Sing us one of the songs of Zion." How could we sing the songs of Yahweh in a foreign land? If I forget you, Jerusalem, may my right hand forget its skill; may my tongue cling to the roof of my mouth if I do not remember you. O Yahweh, remember the deeds of the Edomites, on the day when Jerusalem fell. They cried, "Tear it down! Tear it down! Tear it down to its very foundations!" Daughter of Babylon, doomed to destruction, blessed be he who repays you for what you have done to us, he who seizes your children and dashes them against the rocks.
