Salm 34
Iehòbhah beannaicheam gu h-àrd, gach aimsir is gach tràth: A chliù 's a mholadh ann am bheul gu h-iomraiteach a-ghnàth. Is anns an Tighearna ro-threun nì m'anam uaill is glòir: Na daoine sèimh', tràth chluinneas siud, nì gàirdeachas gu mòr. Ardaichibh leamsa Dia nam feart, molamaid 'ainm le chèil': Dh'iarr mise Dia, chual' e, is bhuin mi as gach gàbhadh geur. Dh'amhairc iad air, is dhealraich iad; gun nàire air an gruaidh. Do ghlaodh am bochd, is dh'èisd ris Dia, is dh'fhuasgail as gach truaigh. Tha aingeal Dhè a' campachadh mun dream don eagal e, Gam fuasgladh is gan teasairginn on trioblaidean gu lèir. O blaisibh agus faicibh seo, gur math 's gur milis Dia: Am fear sin 's beannaicht' e gu beachd a dh'earbas as an Triath. Fìor eagal Dhè, biodh oirbh, a naoimh; oir uireasbhaidh no dìth Cha bhi air a luchd eagail-san, fìor-chràbhadh dha a nì. Bidh easbhaidh air na leòmhnan og', is acras orr' air leth; Ach air an dream a dh'iarras Dia cha cheilear aon nì math. Thigibh, a chlann, is èisdibh rium: dhuibh nochdam eagal Dhè. Cò 'm fear lem b'àill bhith fada beò, chum math gum faiceadh e? Coimhead do theanga fhèin on olc, 's o labhairt ceilg' do bheul. Seachainn an t-olc, is dèan am math: iarr sìochaint, 's lean gu geur. Tha sùilean Dhè air fìreanan, 's a chluas rin glaodh gu fìor. Tha gnùis Dhè 'n aghaidh dhaoi, a-chum an cuimhne sgrios à tìr. Do ghlaodh na fìreanan ri Dia, is dh'èisd e riu gu grad; Thug furtachd agus fuasgladh dhaibh on àmhghairean air fad. Don mhuinntir ga bheil cridhe brùit' is dlùth dhaibh Dia gun cheist: Nì esan furtachd fòs don dream ga bheil an spiorad brist'. Is lìonmhor trioblaid agus teinn thig air an fhìrean chòir; Ach asd' air fad nì Dia nan gràs a theasairginn fa-dheòidh. A chnàmhan uile coimhdidh e: chan eil a h-aon dhuibh brist'. Ach marbhaidh olc an duine daoi, is claoidhear e gun cheist: Is luchd an fharmaid, a bheir fuath do dhaoine còir is ceart, Mòr-chiontach fàgar iad nan lochd, di-mhilltear iad gu beachd. Anam a sheirbhiseach gu lèir saor-fhuasglaidh Dia gach àm; Cha mhillear idir neach dhuibh siud chuireas an dòchas ann.

Psalm 34
Of David, when he had feigned insanity before Abimelech, and Abimelech sent him away. Alphabetical.
I will bless Yahweh at all times; his praise will ever be on my lips. I will glory in Yahweh; let the humble hear and rejoice. Proclaim the greatness of Yahweh with me, let us exalt his name together. I looked for Yahweh and he answered me, he saved me from all my fears. Those who look to him are radiant, they never hang their heads in shame. Here is one who cried out in anguish; Yahweh heard him and saved him from all his troubles. The angel of Yahweh guards those who fear him and rescues them. Taste and see that Yahweh is good; how blessed are they who take refuge in him! Fear Yahweh, you holy ones of his; those who fear him lack no good thing. Young lions may grow weak and hungry, but those who fear Yahweh lack no good thing. Come, my children, listen to me; I will teach you the fear of Yahweh. If you relish your life, and would live many days with time to enjoy prosperity, guard your tongue from evil, and your lips from deceit; turn from evil and do good; look for peace and pursue it. The eyes of Yahweh are on the righteous, and his ear is turned to their cry; but Yahweh sets his face against the wicked, to blot out their memory from the earth. They cry out in anguish and Yahweh hears; he rescues them from all their troubles. Yahweh is close to the broken-hearted and saves those whose spirit is crushed. The upright may have many troubles, but Yahweh saves them from them all. Yahweh guards every bone in the body; not one of them is broken. But evil brings death to the wicked, the foes of the upright will be condemned. Yahweh ransoms the lives of his servants; none who take refuge in him are condemned.
