Unforgettable Landscape Film

This short film was made by the Japanese artist, Natsumi Sakamoto, who I met at the Royal Botanic Garden in Edinburgh when she came in to do some research on the Rowan tree which is a main feature in this film. I explained to her about the poem I had been researching called the “Laoidh Fhraoich” which appears in a very edited version in this film. The Rowan tree is central to this ancient poem which is one of the oldest in the Gaelic tradition. I will hopefully be doing further work on this poem in the future.
